SUSPENS Project Team Meets in Espoo, Finland to Advance Sustainable Composites

On June 12-13, 2024, the SUSPENS Project partners gathered in Espoo, Finland, to review the project’s latest advancements and discuss the next steps towards sustainable composite materials.

Key Discussions and Progress

During this meeting, partners shared significant progress in the production of multifilament bio-based fibers as well as epoxy and polyester resins. These developments are essential in achieving the project's goal of creating high-performance, sustainable composites.

The next major step will be selecting the optimal resin formulation for production, ensuring the best mechanical properties for the targeted applications in automotive, aerospace, and marine industries.

A Special Visit to Aalto University

The team also had the opportunity to visit Aalto University’s facilities, gaining valuable insights into the latest research and technological innovations.
